Oman holidays - the airports

Oman holidays will begin,like any other trip with arrival to the destination and if you came to Sultanate of Oman by air your arrival will be at one of the Oman airports : Muscat International Airport and the second one , Salalah.

muscat-airportFor the Sultanate of Oman ,Muscat International Airport is the largest one and opened his gates for the first time in 1973. It is Oman’s main link to the world, haveing an very important role in commerce and tourism.

Major international airlines have Muscat International Airport to their routes.

In the near future is planed a massive expansion, not only to improve the range of services offered by Muscat International Airport but also to increase its size. A new terminal building, air crafts hangars, new catering facilities, new air cargo building, air crafts hangars,new catering facilities and car parks are only a few of the developments that will come.

Oman Holidays - visa for Sultanate of Oman

Oman holidays - good choice. It is a very pleasant touristic destination and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed because in the Sultanate of Oman you have a lot to see and a lot to do the only thing you really need is a lot of time if you want to enjoy all the offers you will find. If you have this you will remember your Oman holidays.

First thing you must ask about is ” How can I get a visa for the Sultanate of Oman?”  It is pretty easy, you need a “single entry visit visa” and for countries from  list 1 the visa is available if you arrive by land, by sea or by , either if you are alone or member of  a group, regardless of age or sex,and you can also obtain this  of visa if you apply for it at Omani diplomatic missions and commercial representation offices.

You must pay for your visa OMR 6 or the same amount of money in other currency and the visa is given to you when you arrive at entry points after filled an visa application form.

Missions and offices can issue visas without wasting your time to obtain the approval of the Directorate General of Passport & Residency in Muscat .

You passport have to be valid at least 6 months from the moment you ask for your visa

If you are from a country in list 2 you are allowed to entry in Sultanate of Oman only by air and you should  have purchased a package from specified tourist companies in your country which has the aproval of  the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

The package must include your accommodation in  Sultanate of Oman and air ticket using a national airline i.e. Oman Air or Gulf Air. These visa is granted regardless of sex or age.

You must pay OMR 6 or the same amount of money in other currencies, and your visa will be issued to you on arrival in Oman through air entry points only after completing the visa application form.

If you want to stay in Sultanate of Oman more than your initial visa allowed you must pay OMR6 to extend you visa with one month or you will  have to pay OMR10/day for an overstay beyond visa validity . You must apply for a visa extention at the Directorate General of Passport & Residency
